BREA, Calif. (April 1, 2005) - American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) continues to build its sales momentum, posting a 4 percent increase in March 2005 sales compared to the same month last year. ASMC sold 7,446 units for the month, notching a 12 percent increase for the first quarter of 2005.
American Suzuki's March 2005 sales are its best March sales on record since 1988. Forenza models achieved a noteworthy 60 percent increase.
American Suzuki's sales outlook for the calendar year got even stronger last week, boosted by the announcement that later this year the corporation would introduce a production version of the Concept-X2 SUV that premiered at the New York International Auto Show.
Fueling Suzuki's record sales is a rapidly expanding product line featuring the addition of two new vehicles to the 2005 family: the five-door compact Suzuki Reno and versatile Forenza Wagon. These products, combined with the growing network of more than 540 U.S. dealers, America's #1 Warranty, Suzuki's industry-leading, 100,000-mile, fully transferable, zero-deductible powertrain limited warranty, continue to strengthen the Suzuki brand.
