i've had my 1993 suzuki samurai for about 6 months now ... just got it raised and bigger tyres (bighorns) ready for some offroading .. but i've noticed a very strong smell of gasoline when i drive the car the past few days ... any ideas what this could be , it's exceptionally strong in the mornign when i first start it , but the smell continues whenever i'm driving

Is it cold where you live?  Could be the idle up (choke) feature kicking in. 

I would also trace the fuel lines from the engine back to the tank and check for leaks.

I know this may seem obvious to some but this is a commonly over looked part of a build....
After a lift, fuel linesgenerallyyaren'tteffectedd unless a body lift isexecutedd then lines can becomestretchedd or chafed...Check this..
Check your fuel filler hoses .... Buggy whips and revolveshackleal set ups cainter fearar with the filler in a big way  (as the filler hose passes through the spring arch)...
 Some leaks can be located easilyaly as looking under the car at idle See se if it is spotting....
Couldcoincidententa,l but if it didn't have this problem before the lift ,Iprobablyubly being caused by the lift...
