I carry bodily injury, property damage & liability only on the Samurai. It costs me $76.00 a year with no milage limitations. I have a 76 Corvette that I have wht is defined as classic car which is full replacement cost, property damage, bodily injury, and liability with a 2 k milage resriction that cost $68.00 a year.
On all of my vehicles I only carry property damage, bodily injury, and liability as well as the required uninsured / under insured motorist. I only have full coverage on the older car because it is part of their deal. If everyone is required to have insurance I should be able to have my vehicle repaired if involved in an accident. I am also fortunite to be able to replace any of my vehicles if an accident occured. Likewise in most cases I would not want to repair them rather I would replace them anyway.
My insurance company is Farm Bureau. I like them because they are local and if I were to have a problem I can walk in and be face to face with a real live honest to goodness person and they will understand my needs at the point of our conversation. I have also known my agent since High School and he won't B/S me. 99% of how well your insurance can work for you is your agent. Bad agent=bad coverage.... Think about it... who do you want working for you? Somebody to whom your just a quota number. that doesn't know your needs personally, who is never going to see you, who could care less if you go or stay. Or, somebody who "you can reach out and touch" in a time of need that you can make your business more personal. After all they are "supposed" to be "working" for you.... your paying a portion of their salary.
