Anybody know of anyone who makes a polyurethane trans. mount for our trucks? I want to reduce the flex at the crossmember some.  ;)

Well Energy Suspension makes a bunch of urethane mounts for stuff.  It might be possible to adapt one of those.

Alternately you could probably make one easy enough.  Just weld the steel part up and make a quick and dirty mold for the urethane itself.  You can buy castable urethane from McMaster-Carr  http://www.mcmaster.com.  It wouldn't have to be beautiful to work just make a jig to keep the steel parts lined up correctly while the urethane cures.

I believe the stuff used for bushings is typically the 80-90 shore hardness or pretty close to it.  (Shore B if I recall correctly, but I might be wrong on that) Might even want to go slightly softer for a tranny mount so you don't get a lot of driveline noise transmitted.  Who am I kidding it's a trackick, it's already noisy. Just use the 80-90 stuff.

Actually the burning question I've got is how you found the drivetrain parts and how much they cost.

If i can't find one made for the trackick i will make one using a GM turbo 350/400 mount. They have them at the local autozone.

As far as drivetrain, motor and trans. are XL7,front and rear ends are stock 512 tracker pieces. Rear driveshaft cut, shortened and rewelded with the XL7 yoke.
Front shaft is XL7 with a 1.25 spacer.
I went from stick to automatic because i bought the engine and trans. together. I don't miss the stick at all since theres still way more power than before.
My tracker doesn't see rocks and only occasional off road duty.
I did the swap mainly so i could get some power back after putting on the larger tires, before i had to forget about passing over 65mph,now its no problem, the OD works great and i can turn it off when needed.
Putting in the engine and trans. wasn't to difficult, but getting a bigger radiator to fit and learning the hard way to use electric fans was, oops!!
I also tried to maintain all the emissions equipment because we have testing here. But some of it has been altered a little ;D
I use the tracker as a toy and have another truck as my daily driver,so i will be looking for some other mods this winter.like a gearless locker and underdrive pully for the engine.                                                  Stu
