I want know if rocky road is a serious firm because I have buy a kit 2.5 'and I hope mmy order five weeks ago
and I mail to it and I have nothing

I have heard that they are slow at times.  Never got anything from them my self.

I've ordered stuff from another company and I know I'll wait months for some stuff.

Can't hurt to call and ask about the brogress of the order.

I've been to their place of business, in person, and can assure you that they are real.  

However, I didn't see any major manufacturing facilities there as I think they rely on other manufacturers to build the products they vend.

Yes, they have been in business for a while now.
Where are you at ?? If you only sent it 5 weeks
ago, and by mail it would take up to 2 weeks or
more just to get there.

Then to process and ship ?? I would E-mail and
find out first if your order has been received yet.

I have dealt a LOT with Rocky Road, and they have treated me well and their products are good quality.  Most of the lift stuff on my Zuk came from them, as did my Xfer case gearing.  I'm pleased with their service/merchandise.

The MAJORITY of my mods came from RRO. Lift, DSs, rockrails,  wheels etc. etc.

Yes, they are real

I also ordered some stuff through them. it was slow, but it got here. I'm still waiting on some wheels from them tho. :-/

I've also ordered some coil spacers from RRO.  I emailed to ask the status.  Matt replied with an approximate ship date.  I received another email a day or two later stating I should have them this Thursday.  Give them a shout, they'll respond back.

i just recently started dealing with rro. i havent had any problems with my order, and it was shipped when they told me it would be.  however... does any one have any intructions on putting their body lift on the newer style tracker/vitaras? or hints that would assist me as the included instructions are written fore the older models.

Stingerx,  Please let us know how the body lift goes, especialy if there any problems with the steering reconnection, ie, does it line up OK.

I won't order stuff from them because I feel that they are not dependable.  I've used them about 5 times.   Most of the time they are too slow.  Order from somewhere else.  A couple of times they sent the wrong order.  Order from somewhere else.  One time they sent the stuff and it got there that week.  Undpredictable, udependable.

Well I have never ordered anything from them I have sold a few parts to them like 4 pin carriers and such sometimes they get the call tag out to ups really quick and other times they are on the slow side about getting the call tag out.  I have been waiting on the last one for about 2 weeks now, I have heard from other people that they are sometimes on the slow side on getting orders shipped out. Do waht everyone else has told you give them a call to see when they plain on shipping your order.

I am still trying to install the Rock-Steady combo on a '02 Chevy Tracker. The stearing linkage does NOT line up.  There is a post on off-road.com of '99 Vitara 2" body lift where the guy put two long spacers and bolts to extend the steering shaft.  DO NOT DO THIS!  There is a lot of torque on this part, and I do not consider steering an optional feature.

I had a machine shop extend the lower shaft between the two u joints 2".  2" is too much and it binds with the shaft colapsed into the column about 3".  A custom sleeve was precision machined and TIG welded.  Next I am going to try extended the upper shaft that connects to the column with the block.  1.5" should be the correct length, but it still may bind since all of the geometry is thrown off with the lift.  Be sure you have shop TIG weld this high tensile steel component.  I wouldn't trust anything else.

This kit DOES NOT fit late model vehicles.  Custom fabrication is not feasible.  I will post if I find solution.  So far two weeks without vehicle due to Rock Road claiming the kit would fit.  I would not have bought it had I known they were not telling the truth.  The column will colapse, but will not extend as they claim.
