If you want to fix the switch, a little penetrating oil or spray lubricant will do the trick for awhile, then you'll have to do it again. I use a clear utility light from the local auto parts store; it's a rectangular light with a push button switch. The tradeoff is that it doesn't come on when the door opens, but on the other hand it's very bright and really lights up the inside when switched on. It is what Suzuki should have used instead of the anemic little light that they did. BTW, I have a Tracker, not a Sammy, so your mileage may vary...
