Hey everyone;
 My passenger side lock froze yesterday, first time this year,So today I put some greese on the back of the lock chamber and the linkage on the latch, does anyones else have this problem? Its not the lock chamber itself, I've tried lock deicer and those funny little heating sticks. Anyway, this is my post I know it's not that great or amusing, or filled with magical pictures of flying trackicks. I'm rambling I know, I just dont want to go back into the cold to put my door back together. lol. Have a good one guys.              -Mike

     My doors freeze open then I drive around using my knee to steer and my arms to hold the doors shut
good thing she's an auto LOL
    But I suppose it's what I deserve for drowning her all summer

LOL, that remindes me of my old truck, I had to hold the door shut in the damm thing or it'd fly open on the turns with bumps he he. Good times.

Mine freezes in the winter.. Probably because I wash it all the time or because of creek crossings...  

In any case, I just carry around some WD40 and that seems to do the trick.

I had the same proble, I used a LPS graphite based spray in the lock drilled a hole above the latch where I can spray in with the red tip and coat the top of the latch assy and linkages, no prob since.  Topped it off with a bit of white grease

Same with me, except the creek crossing.

WD40 works great, especially if you warm it up a tad and then run outside and stick it in the keyhole and spray away.

I've had the actual door itself freeze shut! Since I never lock mine.  

I usually just kick the F**K out of it til the ice breaks and it'll open.

Hey RRW, when did you get the Doc Brown pic? And you only used your arms for one door and tied the other one with a rope, didn't you?
Anyway, I don't have door locks so I can't help, but why did you need to unlock the passenger side?

So the b*stard of a door froze again at the college, I guess I gotta take it apart again. oh on a separate note I fabed up a 12v addapter for my Garmin with some wooden dowels, saved me $50 USD and I can use the laptop cable at the same time. I shrinkwrapped it all to give it a nice polished look. cost $6 CAD... he he.

Yeah but, Why don't you just get in your drivers door!!!

There is a lock de-icer avilable at your local auto parts store.
I don't know if it also keeps them from freezing though
