Shifter boot.
« on: November 06, 2008, 10:36:12 PM »
I have done the 3" body lift and extended my shifters .The tranny shifter works fine but the boot for the transfer case is causing the transfer case to pop out of 4L.The search found me some older posts where people were sugesting a leather boot .Has anyone come up with a way to use the original boot ? Or is there another way? Suggestions would be appreciated!!
Thanks!

Just flip it upside down so that the boot goes into the hole, great works

The same as some have done for the shifter ? I have seen a picture of that and it looks cool .What kind of a boot could I use for the console then?
Thanks!

I never used anything other that just flipping the boot over. I also put a piece of wire loom around the shifter it self so you can't see where the extension was welded on, and it also looks better
