Put a 97 zuki stereo in my 94.  There are two RCA plug ins coming out the back, one red, one white.  Can anyone tell me what they are for?  I have researched and can't find out.  All 4 factory speakers are working.

My guess would be pre-amp outputs, or some kinda strange Suzuki CD changer option?

Yea, I'am thinking the same thing.  The plug to the rest of the wires must have split on the car side and sent the speaker wires to the amp and then to the speakers.  But that will be great as I'am putting some 4" infinity high wattage speakers in the factory mounts.  My 94 radio that I took out was a clarien that was OEM.  The 97 SK sport OEM I put in already sounds much better.  I like going with recycled zuki parts when I can.

You said it came out of a Sport.  That model had an optional CD player.  I'd bet those wires were for that connection, especially if they were male connectors.  Male connectors would not be used for any kind of output signal, such as for an external amplifier, to avoid possible shorting to ground when disconnected.

THX for the replys.  The RCE plugs are female (sure thats why I'am having trouble figuring them out) so they may be Hot.  I will have to check them with my electical probe.  Got the infinity speakers in and the sound is already unbelievable.  Can't hear my air leaks anymore.

Looks like the RCA plugs out the back are for a CD player.  Might be able to plug in an MP3 player.  The 4" infinitys are nice , but lite on the bass.  The rear factory speaker mounts are configured to take 4", or larger speakers , and will go that route soon.  The good news is no one will break in to steal a factory suzuki stereo.  I had my pass door pried open with a crow bar to steal some quaters I had in the nifty quarter holder on the console.

i have 6.5" speakers in the factory spots for the 4"ers... bit of speaker trimming, and some metal bending and trimming and they fit. sound way better then when i had just front 4" speakers...
