I took the rear cover and beam off.  Mud kept fill up the pockets in the back.  It does not look bad with no bumper.  Makes the hitch look like it sticks out pretty far though.

Oy, you aren't kidding there.  My first Tracker had so much dried mud I never got it all out.  I'd park it at work on an incline so one side pointed down a bit, place a running water hose in one end of the bumper, and let it sit like that for a while.  Then go at it with a long screwdriver!
My '90 I think would be the same way...too many people never thinking to point the hose up there and also thinking they had a mud bogger on stock 205 AT's.

Here's some pictures from my '90 parts vehicle:

wild's right, the front is kinda fugly.  I've contemplated hacking the ends off of it and painting it a flat black but eh, the problem with the bumpers on my '96 is the guy who put the body lift on didn't know what he was doing.  He couldn't figure out Calmini's instructions so he just basically "bodged up" some mounts so that the bumpers look correct.  BOTH rattle under hand pressure. :P  Trail Tough's tube bumpers look nice...
