have the exhaust mounting rubbers come loose. there are two of them online with the front of the gearbox that keep the exhaust central. if one of these has dropped off it will let the exhaust swing and knock ... trust me .. been there. ;D

if you undo the bolts on the body lift and use some copperslip grease on the top and bottom of the rubber mounts (original) and then retighten the bodylift you will probably find that the noise goes away. i have to do this to mine to stop that happening and the sound is like a knocking coming from the door pillar.. not had the same problem since i did it. i think its just the rubber getting compressed and moving under the weifght of the shell
hope this helps ;)

Hi There ..checked the exhaust mountings, they all ok,the knocking noise is very light and only happens when turning sharp left.

Sounds like your could be hitting a bumpstop if you are doing a hard left.....

Try it when you are parked and turn the wheel the whole way left and see if you get it then.  You might not but I'd bet thats just a bump stop.

Good Luck!

Check the clearence where the shifters come thru?  They can hit the body occastionally, especially low speed and under throttle.

Remove the rubber boots so you can see the metal and shifters, then do the left turn.  See if anything hits.  If so, grind a little away.

I had to do this after adding the 2" SkyLift.

Did you have to extend the gear shifter or high/low range shifter?  I'm thinking about doing the RRO 2" body lift also.

Thanks :)

I didn't have to extend anything for the 2" lift, although I partically cut the tranny shifter, gave it s slight bend and welded it back together.  I had to use a carbide tool and hog away some of the sheet metal, and plat a game of spin the rubber boot retainer to make it all nice-nice.

I extended the 4WD shifter 3" for a 4" body lift,
stays in 4WD-L ok for the most part, pops out
a couple of times at first until I've been in for
a while then no problem.
