Tire help
« on: September 03, 2004, 06:43:18 AM »
I need a little help in choicing new tires for my xl-7.  I have it down to 3 tires: Bridg. Revo's , Pirelli Scorp. a/t or Yoko Geolandars.  Out of these 3 which would you pick.  I have had the Pirelli's before and they were good. Just too many tires out there to pick from.

Anythoughts anyone???

I had 31/10.5 Revo's on a Jeep TJ.  There were very good tires and took me everywhere I wanted to go!

Agent Orange has them on his Tracker and likes them a lot as well.

My wife's Excursion has a new set of Pirelli Scorpians on it. Like most SUVs, the boat, oh I meant Excursion :-[, only sees the street. They are fairly quite and I had no problems driving from CA to UT pulling a real boat this summer at 115 degrees.

Is the XL-7 your DD? What type of off road use will the tires see?

I like the Yokos, because you just don't see to many of them around...but that's just me.

on my moms GV we went with khumos..they are really really quiet in parking lots and privide great grip

i think she has put 28k miles on them (those are also hard miles lol)

as far as trail driving..when u air them down they seemed to do fine for what i put her car through..about what u were doing in your picture

on the other end my friend has a 95 civic 2 door coupe that he uses khumos on..he is also very satisfied with them

again they are really quiet in parking lots which is something you should think about..i really hate when im doing 2mph in the hooptie and the tires are just singin away lol
