I've been running 35 x 12.50 X-terrains. Great tires with plenty of bite at 14-16 psi. 4" BDS springs, 5" leafover, breeze folding shackles 5". I see no reason to go any higher and saw a huge difference in performance going to 35's.
locked,5.8:1 Tcase, 5.12's, 35x12.5Xterrain's, 4" BDS L/O, Ford towers, 5-8" shackles w/reverse, tracbar, Yota P/S, diffs capped, skidplates, onboard air, fabbed bumpers & shafts, Herculined, airhorns

thats would be one big step,  not only do Krawlers only come in 35's and up but from what i hear they bite 10 times harder than a MTR

stu

That's why I'm going to stay with the 33 MTR's for now. I finally have my drive line where I'm not snapping axles everytime I hit something hard ;) I'm going to enjoy iy for a while before I step up to the next level ;)

Chasing :-/ No! He's already left us sitting at the trail head ;D I was amazed at how well that truck was set up. The combo of his driving and the set up of his tracker is awesome.

i was wondering what type of wheeling every one does and what type and size tires they use.

i run alot of mud, water, sand, and ossasionally go rock crawling. however i have found that my 31" tsl swampers need to be 34 or 35 to run 4and 5 calss rock trails.

also does anyone run the kicker 3 daul case set up.

We've been running 33's for a year on ALL types of terrain here in Idaho.  Mud, Sand, Snow, Gravel, Dirt, etc.

If you didn't know, we have about 12 inches of supsension lift and no body lift.  (22inches of frame clearance)

The only time I wish I had a taller tire was in Moab on Golden Spike, right before doublewhammy.

Two Jeeps stayed on the main trail ahead of us, all of the other Zuki guys were taking the bypass.
We approached the obstacle the Jeepers did and we didn't have the tire height to get a tire up on the ledge, locked.

The jeeper guys on 37s did, open.  :(

~Nate

P.S.  We run the Kicker 3, with Calmini 4.24's in the Kicker.  (9.66:1 in the t-case alone.)

Its truely awesome.

Which section was that?  There was the rock shelves then the two waterfall-like climbs after Golden Crack that I have pictures of.  We ran though there this last June and I don't remember a spot that we had to take the bypass.  Cept the Double Whammy, had to go around on that one.  :D

It looks like it was in that area.
It was after the stair steps, and before double whammy. (if I remember correctly)

But the one that I'm talking about had a bypass on the left, down through a little, narrow, ravine, with a tree/shrub between it and the primary obstacle.  (they bypass wasn't easy either, 2 zukis scratched their sides on it.
