American Suzuki plans to sell 120,000 units this year, a 46.2 percent increase over 2005. Much of the anticipated boost will come from two vehicles that will debut this year: the SX4 crossover that will replace the Aerio sedan and wagon, and the XL-7 mid-sized SUV that will be built at the CAMI plant in Canada.
Suzuki plans to build 50,000 XL-7s. The vehicle is the company's first mid-sized SUV.
American Suzuki sold 82,101 new vehicles last year, up 11 percent from 2004. It was the company's best sales year.
