Okay guys i have a 97 Geo tracker four door and I'm wanting to take the body off and tube it out. I have no clue where to start really. i need to have input on what size DOM tubing i should use, or if i can use another type?  Am I able to keep the IFS or do I have to go with a set of straight axle?

DOM or Chrome Moly is what you want to use.  DO NOT USE PIPE!!!
Building a tube buggy is a major project that many never finish, and the return on investments is usually only satisfaction and enjoyment.

If you are unsure of what materials to use on the tube buggy, building up a stock rig to use while developing plans and equipment for the tube buggy might be a first step.

I have wheeled it off and on for about two years. Then i sold it and the guy blew up the motor and now i have it back in my possession. So  i have the time to come up with the plans for building it and i can get a hold of a tube bender pretty easy. i figured i could take my time doing the tubing as i also track down a new motor possibly even a motor swap. i have many ideas bouncing around just not sure whats is the best. i also forgot to mention that there some frame repair work that needs down to. so that was another reason i was thinking about tubing it out. what is the best size of the DOM tube should i use?

The size of tubing would depend on design and use.  Integrating frame and roll cage can make both stronger and require smaller tubing.   A poor design will require larger/stronger/more tubing to make it safe.
