well if i owned you rig it would have swampers on it but i think you use it for more rock than mud right?  for rock the MTR or Krawler would be what i would run.

Edit:  but after really looking at the Maxxis Creepy Crawler, those things look mean.  just look at the sidewalls!

38.5x14.50x15 swamper SXs.  Then you can let me know how you like them.  A friend of mine went to these after 35" boggers and we were both blown away by the improvement in traction.  I would think about the Krawlers , but my god , I would have to start dancing again again to aford them.  If only I could find a BFG rep.  If I remember right I think the Toyos are mostly for 18" or bigger rims when you get up to the bigger tire sizes.  I won't talk about the MTRs... I'll let Eric talk you into those.

I think the Toyos are available for a 16" wheel.  Has anybody tried these tires out, they look pretty wicked.

Krawlers, I have seen first hand their superiority on rocks (thats all I run, so I'll comment on that aspect only) over swampers. the swampers are a good tire, but don't flex well and are so heavy they sap a lot of power. But, from what I've heard, the Krawlers are heavy, too. Around here, the only sound hears from a swamper is the thud-thud-thud-thud like a card in bicycle spokes from them slipping on rock. I would choose MT/R's second. i know a few guys running them on their sammy's and they are a great tire with awesome sidewall flex, also.  As for size, 37's on L/C axles are fine, so go as big as possible.  I have a l/c FJ-40 rear behind my junk, and it is very stout, I was amazed.

Experience with Toyo MTs-- Haven't really.. buddy put em on his truck 35x13.50x16.. he's building a tracker with Jeep truck axles.. and a 283? Chevy V8.

That's his work in progress. He tells me that he can lift the front tires off the ground because of the torgue and hp.

If things go well he'll be at next EJS.

OOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Fancypants!   I think they're about the same design as the 40's, 55's and 60's, but they have disc's already right?  I swapped mine to disc's planning to DD , then ended up trailering it, now I have all this $ into my brakes to stop on a dime for no reason >:( Oh well....

Yeah, fancypants. I'm going all the way with FF and electric lockers. And it's all FACTORY. :)

They're about 6 inches wider overall than the sidekick axle. (bit on the expensive side though)
