As far as springs, transmission gears, and dash layout is concerned, go with an 88.5 or 89 if you want carburated. If you want injected, go with anywhere from 90-95. 86-88 is fine as well, but the newer ones have better ventilation and dash support for the stereo and have a stash hole. The springs are softer on the 88.5 up. 88.5 up is easily identifiable by the square vents in the dash, not round.
