Title: bending strut tower (fixed)

my strut tower is bent any suggestions on how to bend it back. i don't want to use haet because that will severlly weeken the steel. any idea for tools would be helpful. i know how to do this i am just checking to see if maybe someone else has done it differently/easier before.

Canadian version: tree+chain+reverse= problem solved ;D ;D

Hey, that'd be the dutch version too  ;D At least that's the way I straightened up the inner body panels when I hit another car doing about 70km/h  ;D

i cut a plate drilled 4 hole three to mount it to the tower and one to mount a big ass i hook in i welded the i hook together and to the plate. i used a percision 1/4" comealonge (for every notch on the comealong it has a 1/4" of line pull) i had from our old fabshop. i made a 3' long drop bracket for a 2" reciever with and tab to hook the comealong to. and put it on my jeep cherokee and used it as the anchor. every thing turned out fine and by haveing the reciver bracket it alowed me to change positions i was pulling from. worked great took about 30 min. to fab all the tools but helped a lot.

Chain, comealong, Kids basketball goal ( 3 inch steel pole set in 800 lbs of concrete and filled to the top with concrete)...

Results...  ...Pulled pole over...   ...had to finish by using tree...

Nope!!!  Eight point buck at 50 MPH...  ...That's why I was pulling the front end...

When the comealong suddenly started getting really easy to crank, I noticed that the pole was starting to lean, so I unhooked, moved the Zuk and pushed it over by hand.    

The kids are grown and out of the house.  I had taken the backboard and hoop down last year, and my wife and I had been wondering how we were going to get that pole out of there :)

;D That's great  ;D I used a telephone pole, It's hard to pull those over and the bark is already stripped off ;)
