I'm looking at doing the 1.6L 8v swap in my samurai soon, and I've got ab it of problem. I was going to put a header sensor in at the same time, but the header's collector has no spot for an 02 sensor. How bad will it hurt me if I go without.

Think the worst case of oxygen sensor fouling ever...that's what the computer will think.
It'll put itself into limp home mode if it has one.
-
I ran my 8V with the sensor blow for awhile, and it would give some check engine errors, but ran fine

Ok I will try and use it, but i don't know for sure.

just drill a hole in the collector and weld a bung on it and your done, they might have one at the local muffler shop, I'm sure they can get one. If you have to weld it low on the pipe wrap the header with some of that heat tape stuff.

That is a good idea. I think that you will find that running without an O2 sensor is not a really great idea. It can be done but, they were put there for a reason. (Unfortunately ;D )

how bout you go to the wreckers and get one with a port... or order a new calmini header.... no o2sensor means shitty preformance,, not to mention fuel mileage just went down the toilet..... just my 2 cents
