Alright folks, I've been emailing Mick at Suziworld in Australia about the snorkel he has for the Vitara/Grand Vitara and XL-7 and am working on a group buy to get the snorkels at a discount, as well as shipping.
Solo, the snorkel with shipping is about $300.00. I'm hoping I can get five people interested in the deal and have them shipped to me in Arizona, then I would ship them out to you however you want at the actual shipping rate.
I am not looking to make any money on this, just want to get more of a discount on a snorkel.
He hasn't gotten me prices yet, but I wanted to get people thinking about it then when I hear more, I'll post here or PM those that are interested.
Happy New Year,
Jeff

I called to get one for my 00 vitara and they said they could get it to me in 2 weeks and that was on 3 different ocassions..unless i was the one who got a bull shitter but i was talkin to the guy for a good 20 min or so.. not sure if the GV/XL-7 and Vit would be a different becase of the longer nose on the GV/XL-7 also what side is the air filter box on the GV/XL-7? mines on the passenger side
-
In the US it's on the pass. side. I thought that the Vitara with 2.0L had the air box on the other side?

not on the reg vitara.. i actually thought the GV1600 and the GV2000 has different but i could be wrong also.. but i do no the front for the XL7 and the GV are longer then the vitara so that might be why there isnt a snorkel they carrie for them..

I disagree. I think the front part of the Vitara (3door) and the Grand Vitara (short 5 door) are exactly the same, but the front part of the XL-7 is longer.
I think the easiest would be for us to post the ref # for our airboxes. I'll go to check mine in a moment. And maybe do some measurements too, such as how long is the front fender (is it called that way ???).

The reference number for my airbox is 68D-A03
It also says:
SAE PP >PP-6F30<
SUZUKI
TR Toyo Roki MFG. Co. LTD.
My front right fender,at the line where it bends, measures exactly 101,5 cm = 39,96 in.
