I have a set of narrow traction tires (7.00-15) I would like to put on some stock steel wheels for snow. I think I read that the stock wheels off a samurai have less backspacing than the VETS (VitaraEscudoTrackerSidekickSunruner) wheels yet both are 15x5.5 right?. If this is the case I could use a set (5) of them. I just want to make sure before I start looking. Thanks for any info on this subject.

??? Hmmm? I thought this was an easy one. I don't have any Sami wheels to measure. Anybody know off hand?

Umm... My Sami's are 5.5" and 3" offset. My XL7's are 7" wide and 4" offset. Offset=backspacing.

Thanks. That was the info I was looking for. That is 1.25" less backspace that my stock tracker wheels. Should be just what I needed.

My 2001 Tracker will not fit Sami wagon wheels because the brake calipers are too large. Had a hell of time finding custome 15" wheels that would fit.

Almost forgo....1" spacers will make them work but changes your alignment.

My old stock 92 tracker aluminum wheels(sold) were 15x5.5/4.25" BS, I'm now running Sammi steel wheels for the winter tires, 15x5.5/3.75" BS.
