Title: shocks for gv with OME springs
Post by: turtle on January 06, 2006, 03:19:38 AM

i have a grand vitara with an old man emu suspesion kit ( coil and shocks).  after 3 years of light off roading both rear and front left shocks started to leak oil.  i reinstalled the original shocks but are now short and bouncy since the OME coil are longer.  can you suggest any good shock absorbers that may be matched with the longer OME coil springs?

I had the same problem with my 88 FJ62 Landcruiser, installed Old Man Emu system, including a 3" lift and after about 2 years the shocks started leaking.  You would think OM emu would have had better service.  Anyway, I installed KYB shocks, a bit stiff, but they worked perfectly w/coils.
