Title: Is this a good price
Post by: jeremyS on January 07, 2006, 04:17:27 PM
What's up everyone. My first post here and my first day...

I found a 1988 Samurai today for $1100. I haven't even looked at it yet but want to buy it. Is that a decent price or should I try to get it lower? I'm buying a 1998 4Runner but found this today and thought it would be better to scratch up a $1000 rig instead of an $11,000 rig...

What do you guys think? Is samarai the way to go? I saw something about a VW Diesel swap... sweet... is that a bolt in mod?

Maybe a tad high unless it's got a great body (no rust) and it runs well.  Yes you can swap a VW 1.6 or 1.9 turboed or NA into a Samurai with a bolt-up  kit from Acme Adapters (http://www.acmeadapters.com/)!  You'll find them and other sources of diesel info ay my site, Ack' FAQ.
