While waiting for my front ARB to arrive, and after searching every salvage yard in the Metro Phila/ S. Jersey area for the cast iron parts to replace my aluminum ones with no luck, I spent a couple of hours fabbing up this strap/brace. I carefully shaped it to fit around the front of the diff carrier, and once it's bolted down to the cross brace, clamps snugly around the output end of the carrier. It's made of 1/4"x2" steel, chamfered around all the contact areas. This should keep it from twisting and moving around on the fragile single aluminum mount, which seems to be the main area of breakage. Until I can get a set of iron parts, this should provide a bit of insurance, it can't hurt, and all I'm out is a couple of hours and about $2.oo in steel.
