Hello,
did anybody drive the "spidertrax disc brake kit" on the rearaxle?
I get the kit today and there is a warning sticker "only be used in low speed offroad applications". Is that kid realy only for low driving or could it used on the street? My Suzi ist not only for offroad....i drive every day to work with that rig.....
Thanx fpr answer

I drove mine on the road all the time. I did however have the proportioning valve.

What tire size you drive with the brake kit?

It's for liability, insurance is cheaper for off road only i'm guessing, most places that sell hardcore parts will say that.

Seems to me like that would improve the on road safety, by stopping you faster. I don't get it.

It's a CIYA thing as mentioned above. The same reason Rancho doesn't officially make lift kits taller than 4" and many suspension lift manufacturors don't recommend the use of body lifts in conjunction with their suspension lifts...aside from their own body lifts of course. :P
Spidertrax is still kind of a small company that makes niche market stuff. Say someone gets in an accident and in a court of law they get blamed for it. Some sympathetic jury gives the plantiff a couple million dollars...bye bye Spidertrax...
Now simply putting that label on the box clears Spidertrax of pretty much all liability. You die on the road, all they have to do is say, "we said not to..."
