2 inch is pretty decent for these little engines i would think... any thing bigger and i think it would start loosing power..and it would sound like a fart in a wind tunnel...lol

I think you could go 2 and 1/4 but 2 inch would be safe. For good tone and less restriction you can run bigger piping once it starts to bend. Big pipe at the end shouldn't bother your backpressure and would make it sound much better than 2'' at the end...

what is your stock pipe size?

That should sound damn good  8) I like the 2 1/4" pipe on my Flowmaster (w/Calmini header).

I'd do whatever pipe size the header is at the end until the muffler and after that I'd go as big as you want if you want more tone

I just got a Thorley header, a high flow cat and a 2" exhaust system from Petroworks.
Works perfect.  Sounds nice too.

It would have nothing to do with pulling 33's down the interstate at 70 :-\ Plus it did have a bad exhaust leak left over from Moab  ;D

I'v been driving my runner for about two days now and let me tell you it sounds and looks awsome :D

Its all 2 1/4 stainless steel, with only 3 bends in it. and everything only cost me $800 canadian cash, pluse my friend put on a stainless end tip just to make it look complete.

I have a header, 2.5" to the muffler, a 3" flowmaster big block muffler (it was free) and 2 1/4" out the back.....it actually sounds really good, a deep sounding noise without the raspy noise you get from the ricer crowd.  :D

Ya thats true!

But I got a question,  When im accelerating i here this SHhhhh sound coming from the drivers side of the engine (sound like air rushing from somwere). But it goes away when Im at cruising speed, and then if I want to go fastser, and hit the gas I here it again.  has enyone else herd the samething??  Iam going out today and I'll be listening to the sound again just to make sure what iam hearing is correct :-\.

other than that she sounds great ;D.

Tighten your collector bolts...they loosen off and make the sound you are describing.

Ok im sorry...this my sound dumb but were and what are collector bolts ::)
Are they the bolts that connects the header to the exhaust pipes??
and if they are loose, how did they get loose right away, they were just put on last week.

funny story....

I am running the calmini header...and had a custom exahust done to connect to the new header...

Well the bolts came lose on day on the freeway...

I was thinking wow this sounds kinda nice....

next thing I know I am going through a tunnel...and a load roar comes out....

uh o the tracker is angry....

Turns out it came unbolted between the header and cat...

sounded like I had a monster in there...

When I put my header on, I took off all the old exhaust and installed the header and drove it that way for about a day and then to the exhaust shop like that....you would never imagine that small of a truck making that much noise.  I did get quite a few looks though. :D
