Title: 2.5 V6
Post by: Maroon Monsoon on January 16, 2006, 09:32:25 PM
at times when I start my mighty maroon monsoon on a pretty cold to really cold time for the first time that day it will tick like crazy. it works itself out. probably 95% of the time even on cold days it will not tick a bit when I start it for the first time that day.. I am baffled, i have anough oil and all... I think it is just an injector making the noise... it's realy freaking wierd

I rarely have this issue so I don't think it's a big one, please let me know what you think

i always run thinner oil in my vehicles in the winter - when it goes below freezing it will take longer for your oil to get up to the top of the engine in the morning thus causing a little lifter tick.

derek

I have a 2.0v6 and 2.7v6 that do the same thing, nothing to worry about though.
