Title: Coolant leak question
Post by: pecs on January 18, 2006, 10:45:14 AM
I've got a 93 sidekick JLX, with a coolent leak.  The leak seems to originate from where the heater hoses go into the firewall on the passenger side, and drips down the outside of the firewall.  I don't think anything is leaking inside, and I don't smell any antifreeze burning with the heater on.  Is there a gasket or something where the hose goes into the firewall that could be the problem?  Or is it likely the heater core itself?  Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks for any help!

undo the hose clamp, take a razor knife and cut the hose off, the hose is now bad, change it.  ;D

And if it's the heater core, do you have a 16V
engine ???  And if so do you want to sell it cheep

It is the 16v. But you'll have to pry it out of my cold, dead fingers.

Without a heater, how cold are your fingers?  ;D
