Title: Stalling problem
Post by: Urban_offroad on January 19, 2006, 08:19:32 PM
OK all.. here is the problem. A buddies sidekick is stalling when he comes to a complete stop at the light. He says most of the time if he makes a quick stop then it'll just die. It's a 1.6 EFI so I don't understand. I've checked all the spark plugs and stuff, vacumm lines and things seem to be all connected. Funny thing is that is runs rather smooth when it stays on.

Any ideas? Anyone?

Thanks

you have a couple different things that could cause that. the tps switch could be out of adjustment or it could be something as simple as a dirty throttle plate.

Im sure you have checked this but....

When I swapped out ecu's the idle would as a result get to low....
(most specifically when running alot of accessories)

Quick adjustment resolved it for me...

Check that the idle switch (part of the TPS) is working.
