hey man congrats on getting a tracker, i have 97 geo tracker that ive slammed to the ground, and after joining this site i had to buy a 4x4, so i just picked an 95 suzuki sidekick 4dr 4x4. im planning on get the calmini 6" combo lift and ill probably run a 33/12.50 tire if it fits or ill run a 31/12.50. since im new to 4x4 stuff thats about all the info i have but this forum is awesome for info.

Hey thanks man, appreciate it... its my 18th bday tomorrow and i think witht the cashflow i pick up im gonna get two 12" subs for the back, and rip out the back seat and swap it with a single bucket, and then mold the woofers into armrests with fiberglass then get it painted to match the tracker

Welcome aboard tracker_guy
With the stock wheels you can go to a 225 or even a 235
With a 6"inch lift you can go to a 32 or even 33" with a little fender trimming.
A 31"inch tire is a good daily driving tire size.
If ya want ot do a budget lift or learn how to do it yourself
You can check out this site.
http://www.zuwharrie.com/content/view/11/27/
And has for back seats
Who really needs them? ;) ;D
I took them out of my 2dr and 4dr. ;D

these guys are right, instead of buying subs, get a nice new set of 31s and a 3 inch body lift (which you can do yourself), and 1" coil spacers (not hard to do)

That's a good tire, you can start with 235s with
no lift, or 30s with a suspension lift and trimming

A less expensive way to lift the suspension would
be to get a set of coil spacers from Digger, front and
rear, a set of Ford Crown Victoria shocks (rear 98)  for
the rear of your Tracker, and a pair of front extensions
that I'm working on right now, available in about 7-10
days, I can't remember what Digger gets for the spacers,
lets call it at $50, I think $50 for the Extensions and $40
for the shocks, so for about $150 you get a 2" suspension
lift, add tires and enjoy

As time and money permit add a rear locker and a body lift,
I would enjoy the trracker for a while, and as the tires wear
out, plan your body lift and replace the tires with 31s or 32s
along with the wheels with some more backspace, I would use
7" RockCrawlers, cool design, not too expensive (around $50ea)
and a backspace of 3" should work well with a 31 or 32 inch tire

ford t150 rims come in 8" wide, cheap rims but work for trackers.  You can put 32x10.5 on it easy.  Even the 7" wide one will work.  You can do your own homemade body lift for probably about 100 bucks.  just need some 3" square steel.  I ran 4"  in mine.  little excessive, but I ran 33x12.5s, as once I buy a set of tires, I dont want to get rid of them or buy tires only slightly bigger.

I just got LT235/75/15's on my 4dr, and I have had no rubbing. My wife says it feels more stable now too.   I am looking at all the options you are being fed, and I am formulating a plan.  I went on several trips this last summer on 215's with very little tread, and the little truck went great.  Good luck!

Aset of KC 165watt daylighters and Pro Comp 55 watt drivinglights.
Don't think I'll ever out drive my lights.
Yes, I  took off the KC Daylighters.
They looked like Mickey Moose ears.

how do you have the lights rigged up? do you have them running off your car battery or are you running them off of an external power source?

I have them hook through a Relay to Switches
and only run the lights that fit my needs at the moment.

A tire's diameter varies a lot by manufacturer. I have 235/75/15 Kumho Venture MTs on mine which are only 28.6 inches and they dont rub at all on the stock rims with no lift.  If you go to www.tirerack.com you can look up the exact diameter of most tires they sell. Thats why Some people recomend coils spacers with 235's and some don't.

Ok so i take it you are running them off of a toggle switch? i am thinking about running mine off of a two way toggle switch... up = superlong down=long and then ill add another one and i think i am gonna get colored lamps in two of the lights... just for looks at night! light up the trails green  or something... gotta be different!!! ;D

Green, red and even blue don't do
as much for light as white does,
green and red are really bad, almost
like not having lights on at all, don't
waste your $$ trying to be different

The military uses red and green lights to minimize the loss of night vision but they don't do much for any kind of distance.

White light is made up of many colours. Filters only pass light of that spectrum so if you add a red filter you only get red light through. In other words you get less light.
I don't know what kind of red or green lights you're referring too, I design military equipment, we use infra red for night vision stuff, its pretty close to normal light but cameras have a greater sensitivity than the human eye so they pick it up, it can appear green to the human eye once its been processed. In no way is it as effective as a white light but theres a little less chance of getting your head shot off  ;)
