Title: rear diff

got the chance to buy an 86 sammy with a bad rear diff and a 89 tracker no engine for 500 can i swap out the rear third members in them ??? ???

Not without calling Petro Works,
Gary has a Hybread Sammy Tube
with a SideKick center, but you also
have to match the front diff gears if
you have 4WD

couldn't the front R&P out of the kick be installed in the front sammi carrier? Then you would have matched gears.

although it might be cheaper to hit up your local pick a part yard and grab a differential from there. i used to pick up front diffs at a pick a part yard in oregon for like 125.00. check ebay too.

You could find two front trac/kick diffs with the same gears ratio and swap the gears out into the sami housing...

No, the Track/Kick rears are different.  As shown above you'd have to get a custom Sami axle to use the Track/Kick rear chunk.
