Would it be the orange one?

Just check the obvious rust areas for through holes. Bring a magnet to find the body repair and a poker to find the through holes. If its the early years Suzuki, check for shoulder room. Not sure if there is any... ;D

It was the prerunner to the Sammy. If it has the 800cc then it is the last of that line. The 1000cc engine is a bolt-in replacement. For more about them have a look at  http://www.lj10.com/ They are old school cool.

It was the prerunner to the SJ410, they're usually pretty rusty nowadays. Like CJ says the 1000cc F10A (SJ410 ) engine drops straight in also the disc brake front axle from the MK1 1/2 and MK2 SJ410s fits too. Diffs are lower than a 410 so with a 410 engine bigger tyres aren't a problem. Stock rims are a skinny 16". They're pretty small inside,  last time I was given a ride in one my head was pushing the softtop up on the bumps, I'm 6ft 2". They do look very cool though  ;D
Oh yeah, Barry Sheene had a blue one with the optional soft doors  ;D ;D

do you want someone to look at it with you? I use dto have an LJ80 thatw as all prepped for off road racing. They are really small and work well on our trails around here. Funky centered diff axles. You can do spring overs on them and throw 30" swampers on them and weld the rear and it will be virtually unstoppable around the island. You may want to tow it to the trails though because hiway is not their strong point!

and you can use LJ50 diff gears and t-case for beter ratios with bigger rubber. Disc conversions etc are all doable and there are couple in OZ running the old Swift GT twin cam motors.

I'm on LJ10.com, I seen that you signed up there. I have pictures and plans on that site in the projects section of the forum. For others' interest I am putting in Samurai running gear. 1.3 fuel injected, 5 speed, sammy case (rocklobster), spoa 4.62 gears locked f/r, toyota ps, 32" tires, exo cage etc.

My other one is stock and in very good condition, little rust, only about 45,000 km's.
