I have fog/driving lights that I bought a while ago and the wiring is messed up.
I really want to have them hook straight to the headlights. So that they come on when the headlights are on.
What wire do I need to tap to have them come on with the headlights?

You need to use a relay in there.

You could hook them to your parklight switch, that might be easier. The part that says "switch" or number 85 on the relay would tap into the park light wire(or headlight wire if you want), can be found in the column. I'll try to find out what color the wires are, so you can easily find and verify with a meter.

the point of fog lights is to illuminate the road under the fog, you want them on without the driving lights. You also might want to turn them off, so have it on a separate switch.

I would have to concur. There are times when you don't need them on but will use your headlights. Selectability is always a good thing. And the upside is you would be wiring them into their own circuit makes it real easy to track down problems at a later date.

Oops they are just Fog Lights....
But I have them hooked up straight to the battery and to a switch in the car.
This is the 2nd switch thats burned up.
I was wanting to tap into the headlights but also keep a switch to turn them off if I wanted to.

in the diagram above take a lead from the side lights to the switch instead of from the battery to the switch. put a small fuse in line 10amps and that should prevent the switch melting
the switch then only become live when the side lights are on, and then gives you the option to switch on the fogs if you want to

yea, I've burned up many switches too, just get a relay and follow the diagram and it should be fine. My off road lights up top are my only lights with a relay and that's the only switch that doesn't get really hot. I need to put a relay on my other lights but it's a matter of motivation

First the wire....
I don't know. The best suggestion on that would be to go to the library and take a look at a Chiltons book that includes the '99 Tracker wiring diagram. Or visit a dealer service department and beg/grovel for the information. Or find a local customizing shop and pester them.
On the '96 Tracker (the first major-modified version of the J/E platform) the headlight relays are on a bracket mounted under the dash on the passenger side. You can see the bracket at the bottom edge of the dash kick panel. Maybe they are there...  Find the commonly colored wire that goes to BOTH relays and you found the wire that you want to tap into.
Now the circuitry:
