Well I just got my tracker inspected by the insurance agency of the woman who hit it the other week. The guy that did the estimate inspection told me an interesting piece of info. He said that the bumper cover on Trackers cost more new than the bumper cover for a BMW X-5. Aparently a lot of parts are more expensive than I would have expected. He actually had to use used parts for the repair estimate so it wouldn't be totalled. The estimate came close, but it should be OK and able to get repaired. One more Tracker staying on the road ... or OFF-road. :)
Here's the pics. Finally got a cable for my camera.

It's a game of odds in the insurance world, the price of the repair vs price of the car vs the posible fantom whip lash claims. I put a dodge shadow back on the road(insurance write off) the vehicle inspection cost more than the repair I did (air bag deployed) Anyways the cheaper the insurance company gets off is usually the way it goes ie; used parts or pay you out.
My .02 :-/
