Title: Starting problem

my tracker is 95 16v, new battery, battery wires, starter, and alt was checked.
sometimes when I go to start my tracker it just clicks once as I turn the key but thats it. If I keep turning the key over and over it eventualy starts. when it finally does start the starter doesnt strugle to get the engine running it fires right up. Other times I have no problems and it starts on the first try. Its been doing this for over a year now, it always starts it just takes a bit longer sometimes.

You could possibly have a loose wire somewhere in the system. That is what I would look for. It might be in the ignition switch itself but, I highly doubt it.

Do you happen to have an MSD on there?....

Mind was doing the same thing (w/ msd)...when it was cold out or the humidity was up....

My msd eventually died on me (just a few days back)...removed it and it starts up just fine...

Check the connection w/ blaster coil....

sorry for my english is verry bad....

the probleme its the wire conected on the seleniod to the key switch....i have some page in english for this probleme !!!
