I am sorry I need to ask this but in my search I found no clear answer. So: Will a Samurai T-case swap into a Trackick? If so is it a "clean" swap or are there other changes that must be made? I hate being niave. Thanks.

apples to oranges. sidekick= married t-case(case and tranny are direct bolt togeather). samuri= divorced t-case(has a driveshaft between tranny and case)
IMO if you are looking to lower your low ratio swaping in a 2 wd kick tranny and a sammy t-case would be the way to go(also reduces high range to account for larger tires)
if your trying to lower your high range then a R & P swap is gonna be a lot easier(no fabrication skills required)
hope that helps

Well that answers that. I guess it was just wishfull thinking that I could lower my high range and get super low gears all at the same time. That puts me back to looking for 5.38, 5.62 or 5.83s for the front and rear and buying the 4.24:1 low T-case gears. Oh well. ::)

OTT kicker 3. I swapped in a sammi case behind a 2wd tranny. For the money spent, I should have gone kicker 3. I can BARELY run on the highway!

Isn't that like way too long in a swb? And way to expensive for me too, sending it from EU to US and back ;-).
Red Baron, please make loads of pic's and post 'm here ;)
