I was wondering what the safe towing rating is for a samurai if there is one lol.
Currently I have a lightly modified samurai (Intake, exhaust,ignition,2" lift w/ 31" tires w/ no gear reduction.
I have been towing my Race bike (250 lbs.)w/Trailer (280 lbs) with no trouble at all.
I was just givin a 14' ski boat w/ an outboard motor(boat trailer is single axle w/8" tires) its about 40 years old so its not very big or wide but I dont really know what the weight is yet.
The lake is only two miles from my house so I dont need to travel far with it and I could always throw my stock wheels on for towing.
Any info is appreciated. :)

If that 14' boat is aluminum, or single walled fiberglass and its a short flat 2mi trip you should be ok. WARNING...where you may run into a problem is taking the boat out of the water. With no gear reduction and the 62bhp turning 31's, and your at the disadvantage of having the stick, you may be asking a dude with a full size to pull both your boat and your zuk out of the lake. To help, put on the stock wheels and when you take the boat out of the water, only back in until the trailer fenders touch water. Better to struggle to get the boat on the trailer than burn up your clutch or sink your zuk. On the plus side my Sammi seems to be ok with the occasional (ok, frequent) dunkings I give it.

a friend of mine pulls a 20' pontoon boat with a 85 outboard. his sami has a sping over and 32" tires with stock gears. he puts in 4-low and locks the hubs to pull it out with a little clutch burn. we also live in louisana were there are no hills just bridges. he can't go over 45 mph because it gets out of control due to the short wheel base and weight of the sami. his trailer is tandom axle that helps keep alot of the wieght off the sami.

I have pulled a little harbor freight trailer with over 1000 lbs of wood on it before. I did it with my small sammy, 30's and a 4-1 tcase, and had no problem at all. I use the little trailer all the time to go get large stuff at home depot. I get some funny looks but have never had a problem stopping or starting.
