They clip into the fender, there is a release
behind, and the bulb has a twist lock kind
of release too.

I think you can get to it from the outside,
slide something very thin, in from the back
of the light (front light) and it will push the
release catch, try a credit card, it shouldn't
scratch your paint

or... you could do like it says in the owners manual and push the light inward (toward the door) and pull the then pull the front of the front light (or back of the back light) out and viola

Mine were kind of cruddy and wanted to stick to the fender the first time I pulled them off; just don't King Kong them and you shouldn't have any problems. While you have them off you can do this modification that will flash your side markers with your turn signals. When the headlight/parking lights are on, they will flash "on" when the regular turn signals are "off" and vice versa. E-mial me for details if you need help. I did this mod in about 20 minutes for both sides and really liked the results. Here's the URL:  http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=834703&Main=834435
