Thought I'd leave a note here about the new composite body soon available overhere in the Netherlands and Belgium ( as soon as they get it registered there, seems to be a small problem at the moment ).
*CLICK* (http://www.izook.com/newproducts/nxt/composite.htm).
I've seen it, touched it and sat in it..................I like it.
It's also the first article I wrote as an International Contributor for Izook, not the last I hope
Below a pic as a teaser:

It will arrive at Suzi's Place coming Thursday, so Friday I'll be there for more detailed pics. They are going to build one themselfs too, they've already stripped a Zuk down to the bare chassis and have just finished painting the engineparts and T-case silver. This one they are building will be a showmodel for custumers to see and try.
I'll keep track of the build and hope to have a ride-impression soon !
Hope it's not against the "Fora-laws" to crosspost, if it is, let me know !!!
[edit]Can one of the moderators change the Samuai into Samurai in the topictitle (http://www.motor-forum.nl/forum/images/smilies/frusty.gif) [/edit]

I like the tires. Same ones I have except those look like 235s and mine are 31s. ;) I don't know about that windshield though. :-\ Good idea for owners who have lost the fight against rust. Gives the old Zuk a fresh start.
Never heard of a "Samuai" though. ;D J/K

That's what they are called overhere >:(.......no, not really, wish one of the mods would change it ;)

UGLY!!!!!! Sorry, but that is the most homely thing I have ever seen on 4 wheels. Looks like a Pontiac Aztek which I thought was gross, but that takes the cake. It definitely fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Reminds me of the old SJ/Samurai based Dakar

Is that dakar a single seater? look at the frame and see how the body goes up from there, that would be nice for clearance for rocks but sure would make for a small interior, looks like it would be great for mileage with that windshield it would be nice if they sold that in the states I would consider buying one.

Its a 2 seater, its just the angle the pic was taken at. The bodies were originally fitted to a custom chassis with Ford 2wd (Cortina) running gear. I believe the only Suzuki ones they made were the one in the pic and another based on a Track/Kick/Vit. They now make them on range Rover chassis. The blue one is based on an SJ410 chassis that was originally registered in Holland and has been converted to RHD.ÂÂ

There was a place here in the States that was making fiberglass bodies for the Sami a while back, at least 5 years ago now. Doubt they made many or still are as I seem to be the only person that ever heard of them. :P

I remember a lot of talk about it (RR maybe?), I'm not sure if any bodies were ever made.

Rhino, never knew Dakar made them for a Zuk :o, nice ! You say it's Dutch ? Strange that I've never seen it or heard of it ? Always been abig fan of the Dakar ( especially since Blue Peter......................no wait, that was because of the girl that presented it :-X :-X )
I've seen 2 Range Rover Dakars at some events here, they do very well OffRoad !

The donor 410 was originally Dutch registered, it was imported to the UK before being converted. I don't know where it is now, the guy who owned it when the pics were taken sold it on.

I saw pictures of a fiberglass bodies Sami in one of the big 4x4 mags here. Just a short blurb about how light weight rigs were the coming thing and pointed out the Sami couldn't weigh a ton. Looked like it was pretty close to a stocker with some tall and narrow tires the only noticeable mods other than the 'glass body.

Hey Rhino, guess what I came across today:
(http://www.suzuki-samurai.nl/special/4trax1.jpg) it's the same I think, a 410 from Holland, owned by a guy called John.
It's on this page, full of "special Zuks" :
http://www.suzuki-samurai.nl/special/special.htm
That's the webaddress for the first page, with a link on the bottom to the second page. It's all in Dutch but understandable I think. I really like the real pick-us, going to look for one for a mate ( Patrick 4x4 ) on Saturday. He knows of one, and it's even nearby.

Yeah thats it, used to be owned by a guy called John Godwin. Nice and clean in that pic, isn't it ;D
