Title: 12v Compressor
Post by: Skeeter on February 01, 2006, 01:26:02 PM
I am looking to permantley mount a 12v air compressor (no tank) in my 85 Sierra(Samuari) 2 door. It is completely stock & still has the rear seat. Any suggestions on a suitable spot?

Cheers

Engine Compartment, Drivers side, Just in front of the firewall.  That's where mine is going.

That's where mine is. i got a great little compressor from Kragen for about 40 bucks. i then plummed fitting on the front and the rear of the kick so I just have to carry a small hose to air up the tires. Since I had the parts around I plummed a line to a gauge on the dash. Now I just need a pressure cut off switch..

Great idea. I hadn't thought about plumbing the air hose. I was trying to avoid having to open the bonnet all the time to air up. Thanks, that gives me something to think about.
