Title: tracker problems

hi all , yea i'm a new mudder , this site is the greatest . i just bought a 90' tracker bone stock . no smoke runs great (for awhile) and acts like it dont want to take fuel , if i shut it off and restart it does fine (for awhile) and does the same $#^%^% again. i have put in plugs , plug wires ,distributor cap , rotar button, fuel filter , any ideas. PLEASE HELP !!!!!

try this and read this artical i hope its not your problem but it sounds like it. ???

might be the fuel pump shorting out check the wire at the top of the tank.they get week there if you drive though a puddle they shut off.

if the rocker on the driver side is smashed up to far it might be shorting out the wires as well. :(

do you have a pulse in the throtle body?

thanks, i'll check my wires , but i dont know to check a pulse (sorry) can u explain . ps i've been reading alot on this site and i plan on doin a 2'' spring llift and a 2'' body lift, a roll-cage and other mods. if i can get this #^^%# tracker problem fixed , again thanks for the help

you can see the gas spray into the throtle body like a pulse i would try to put a new fuel pump in heats up and then stops working thats where i would start.
The fuel pump might even be a bit noisy at times.

Spend the money and get either a Haynes or a Chilton, well worth the dough.

sounds like poor grounds .. common zuk problem  just route a few ground jumpers I bet problems will disapear

Every thought to pull the fuel pump and see if the pick up tube is getting clogged. you could have dirt or something in tank so it runs fine till it sucks it up. Then you let sit for awhile it goes back to bottom of tank tilll you start it up and it sucks it up agian. This will also cause fuel pump to heat up and wear out quicker. Just a thought though?

thanks for all the help , hopefully that'll fix it so i can tear it up on a rock , tree or even a big freakin mudd hole , oh yeaaaa ,sounds like fun . again thanks for the help.  p.s yea i bought a manual , see ya in the mudd .
