The obvious one that most of us have seen (the Cherokee) and the less common 4runner are always gaining popularity as being turned into SUTs, but no Zuks? This is ludicrous.

Haven't had time for a nice photoshop of a GV yet, but if the Jeep guys can do it, anyone can. Anyone seen this before on one?

I have a drawing of what I think a GV SUT would look like. I'll try and scan it and post it.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is an SUT?
Jim
-
SUT = Sport Utility Truck. I think.
-
ask digger, think it was digger has an sut project or did have one at one point in time.
-
Still do, just haven't done much more to it lately... I'll get back on it soon...
-
if i had the time and another junked sidekick. id totaly get the welder out and strech mine.
-
If I remember right Suzuki had a concept vehicle pickup that was based on the GV in the late 90's or so. I remember just a blurb about them in the 4x4 magazines. Don't remember if it had a seperate cab and bed or was a SUT configuration.
-
hey rocknock, good job showing everyone the gnarliness of an SUT Zuk. we need to get pat to E mail me the picture you made of my zuk as an SUT. it's wicked. just wait till I finish that roof basket, it will be gnarly as well. By the way, you need to finsish your bumper sectioning on your gmc. you can use my welder if you want to
-
you can start from this... ;D

Holy crap! Is that a Zuk Pickup? A Zukup? That Kick looks amazing. Really think we should be seeing these around. Digger, do you have any pics of the progress?

Hello All
I've got aSUT....It's an S-10 quadcab...It's got afour foot bed and I wouldn't wish one on anybody...Can't haul, tow,or ride a normal size guy in the back seat...it's a POS in my book.I got it because I have two kids...And no money for the full size fourdoor.
Later Tom K.

SUT is with the bed and body as one piece isn't it? Also, we're talking about making it so you can go from having it all wide open like a full size bronco sort of to tarping it up like on a hummer or whatever.. i think I expained that right.. I am not sure a pickup truck with a short bed counts as an SUT but I see what you are saying. on a zuk, making it into an SUT would inrease the cargo room.. every bit there is stock, just allot taller when the canvas cover or whatever is there is off
-
I was thinking like with the Cherokees. Just a thing made for originallity, maybe some cargo area. Pretty much exactly like that link.

No one on here has this? Still good stuff. If I had a Zuk and the tools/skills... Thanks for everything on here. More about it out there than I thought.

ive seen a couple trackers on cardomain where the owner has welded a panel behind the front seats but thats the closest thing to a SUT ive seen ill see if i can find the pic

Look close at that picture by the rear section of the truck. The background appears to repeat itself. Can't tell for sure on a small file like that but it may just be a altered picture like the ones I made of mine as an SUT. Even if they did make one like that I think the departure angle would kill it off-road.
-
Looks doctored to me too...
Departure angle woud be horrible on that rig wouldn't it...
This would help.....lol

6x6 ;D
That purple tracker is so badass. I wish I had an SUV. Only trucks for me though.
That GV pickup makes me want to cry. It's just so beautiful.
-
Sorry for the not getting this sooner.
My attempt is to put a GV body (with it's narrow rear doors) on an XL7 frame. Someone with, what do they call that, talent may be able to do better.

ghd23 put up a thread, said he wanted it to be his next trackick project, but I really do like those GVs. Minus the 5 link, I'd take that V-6 any day over the 4.
Wonder if offlimits4wd is interested. SAS with coils and a tires as high as the sky, sounds like good representation.

yea, why on earth did they go from the nice 3 link that was on the kicks to the 5 link? I don't get it.. the 3 link was better as far as I can see
-
maybe improved ride quality? seems to me that it would be more stable, so more safe/nicer ride.
-
I don't think so, I rode in ryan's kick which has the spacers as you know and because he has his sway bar off and I did too at the time his rode pretty much the same as my stock GV with no sway bar.. I'd get a better idea if i actually drove it but you know

I seen one on ebay about a year ago that was for sale, it went really cheap, it looked completely useless to me. it was a first gen 2dr. im sure if someone had alot of time they could find some pictures of it.
-
