Yesterday I bought a new oxygen sensor to replace the original one, and when I went to remove the old one, the threads came out of the manifold with the old oxygen sensor. But it wasnt like most thread strippings, because the manifold threads had turned into rusted and fatigued metal from heating and cooling, and there is no way to rethread because the cast iron is too hard and rusty and brittle. The same thing is also happening on the flange between the 2 pipes that are coming out of the manifold and become one at the cat. I looked into getting a new manifold, and I found one on ebay for $54 plus 15 for shipping, but that wont help me with the worn out 2nd half of the exhaust. At work, I asked how much it would cost to have a muffler shop make the 2 pipes that lead to the cat, and they said it would be around $100, making the total around $200 (unless I do the labor myself). So I am heavily considering a Doug Thoroley Header, mostly because it will be better than stock, and it will cost about the same, plus it would get rid of those 2 pipes leading from the manifold. I just need to know of the best place to get them, and which place has the best price.

I'd call Petroworks at (800) 952-8915. That is where I got mine. They give incredible service, plus they can answer just about any Sammi question you can ask.
Or you could buy my '91 Sidekick manifold, off of an 8v 1.6L. It has most (all?) of the benefits of a DT header, I have been told. It looks like it would. It is larger than the Sammi manifold, the curves are far more gentle, it has two pipes pert near to the cat, like the DT. It will fit the 1.3L head. And I want $40 for it, not $150 or so.
