This last trip I seem to have blown my third member( the give away is the whining & metalic noise ;D). Anyway, which locker do you all prefer, lockright or detroit gearless? I have (had) a lockright now, just looking for opinions or storiesof good& bad. Thanks! ;D

Everyone I run with has the Lockrights. I had all sorts of problems with a Detroit EZ-Lock up front, but nobody has complained about the Lockrights. I am rather partial to my new ARB though. :D

Detriot no longer makes the gearless locker, i guess they had reliability problems
on higher power rigs.

Thanks for the info. I was leaning towards the lockright after I read some info on other sites. This one did its job for 5 years, I do`nt think it owes me anything ;D HMMMM how to slip some toy axles past the ol` lady? ;D

If you go with Toys look into the Aussie Locker. Stronger and better manors than a Lock Right while being competitively priced. I've heard some GOOD things about them.

Aussie locker is only like $240 for a Toyota. I have heard good things also. I have had a lock-rite, noisy as hell but it worked. Never had any problems with it.

Well, I got it apart & I am missing about 8 pieces of pinion gear! :o The chunks were at the bottom, so hopefully the locker is o.k. ;D

Those Aussie Lockers are sweet. I inquired a few weeks ago if they intended to produce them for the Sammi. They said:
"We are talking to a large Samurai dealer and if we can work out a program we will be developing a locker. But at this time we do not have one."
I have a Lock-Right and it works great! 8)
