Title: Sidekick Buzzing
Post by: zoomzoom on March 07, 2006, 10:28:36 AM
thanks for all the help so far everyone, in just one month im running 31s and getting ready to install transfer case gears in my 91 kick this next week. my problem is when cruising down  the road (after 20 mph) im getting this buzzing noise that feels somewhat like a wheel bearing coming from the right front area. when i turn to the left it goes away and if you turn right it stays the same. could it be anything else? My kick has power steering. Just asking for opinions or past experience before i rip it appart. thanks,
lance

Sorry I cant help with your problem but I just wanted to compliment on your vehicle. Your set up looks nice and clean. Hopefully you get your problem fixed because its the small things that really piss you off eh.

Nice Sidekick!

Wheel bering, that is the same think that happened to me, new wheel berings and then it was good to go and no noise.

I get a similar sound when my hubs are locked in and/or it is in 4x4. (Whenever the front shafts are turning)

Someone told me it is the bushing where the half shafts go through the housing..

Try taking it out of 4x4 and making sure hubs are out.  Make sure shafts are not turning by looking under the vehicle while moving slowly.
