Title: SAMURAI auto lock hubs?

Hi there,  I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen an auto locking hub for a samurai?   According to some articles from 1986.....auto front hubs were a dealer installed option.

Also is it bad to leave the front hubs locked when driving in 2hi?  

I'm on my third Samurai, but im not an expert on off roading or anything......

I believe Tracker and Sidekick auto hubs will work on a Sammy.   Leaving them locked in 2hi on occations should do no damage, just not somthing I'd make a habbit of.  


I will often leave mine locked in when we are at the beach in the summer.  Driving on the beach and then into town, then back out on the beach.   Similar to the rare occations in the snow.
