Title: Samurai Extended Brake lines
Post by: rkteckt on March 15, 2006, 09:21:46 AM
Ok, real noobie question here.....

I had some trouble with my brake lines hanging loose when i bought my Samurai.  My mechanic welded some tabs in a lower location for the connection between the metal and rubber brake lines.

Now i've upgraded to a new suspension and the old brake lines look to short and the tabs are in tha way of my longer axle articulation. SO i went to RRO and ordered some extended brake lines, 2 for the front and 2 for the back.

When we hold the new lines up where they are supposed to go there is no way they will fit.  There is of course only 1 rear brake line on a 1991 samurai(wish i had known) and the front lines will rub on the tires if we just install them in stock location.

Does anyone have a picture of extended brake lines installed? Or did i maybe just get the wrong lines?

Any advice would help a lot.

I have a 1991 samurai with a 5" spring under yj lift.
