Title: Boondox Lift on Wife's Kick
Post by: Shredder on March 16, 2006, 05:00:06 PM
Here is a before and after shot of my wifes Kick with the Boondox 3" kit. It was a really easy install because her's is still a 2wd. No front axles to be in the way. While installing it I noticed that her Kick has both frame brackets for converting to 4wd.  :) That was a bonus. I was putting it off because I didn't feel like messing around with the welder in there. Now I don't have to. Anyway, my wife likes the looks of her Kick with the kit on it and it rides real nice. The tires suddenly don't look aggressive enough though.  :-\  Maybe she will notice that too and suggest some Swampers.  ;)

I believe that boondox is a fab shop near where he lives. I think that they have a website that is still under construction.

You are correct. I have been working with them lately on some ideas for the Zuks. They hope to build a good product portfolio for the mini SUVs of their own as well as offer some of the current products that are out there. They do installations and custom stuff too. They are working on a cool concept for the TracKicks but I promised not to disclose anything until they have it ready to be seen. I get to help R&D and test it though.   8)

Has your wife made any comments about getting some bigger tires yet?

No. She likes how quiet her 235s ride compared to my loud tires. It's funny how just 3" of lift makes 235s look so much smaller.

Well just keep dropping hints that there is so much unused space now in the wheel wells and how much better it would look with bigger tires. Maybe she will change her mind if you wear her down a little.  ;) ;D
