Title: lockrite in the front side kick opions
Post by: mbmarkyb on March 17, 2006, 05:07:43 AM
The tittle isnt  fully correct.
Basically what I have done for a friend is build the kick R&Ps into his diffs which has sorted out the gearing as he runs 33s.

My question is.  To save on spacers and problems with the pins coming out I used kick carriers.

I have installed his locrite in the rear and i wanted to check if anyone has had any failure when running a locrite in the front of there side kick?

The stock sammy diff looks stronger but we thought worth a risk as i have never broken a carier always a shaft or cv.

opions please

I have never had a problem with the lockrite in the front diff on my tracker and it was installed 15 years ago!  This tracker has been rode pretty hard too.  The CV's are the weak point, so carry a spare.

Good Luck
