Title: 96 Tracker's horn doesn't work-think it's the relay
Post by: AJMBLAZER on March 18, 2006, 12:28:44 PM
I bought the Tracker 2 weeks ago and the horn has never worked.  According to the PO this was a recent occurance and he figured it was the horn itself.  He put on a new horn and that didn't fix the problem.  I beleive him as there's a shiney golden colored horn up front visible through the grille. :P
When I push the horn button I can hear the relay click from somewhere to my right inside the cab.  Anyone know where it is, how to get at it, and how to test it?  The FSM says how to fix it but they're kinda vague and use a lot of factory names for parts and I'm kinda confused by it. ???

Silly thought. Check the wires at the horn. They may not be on all the way. My wifes 97 had the same issue. The wires weren't on tight and you could just hear the relay click when you hit the button.
